The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) had conducted the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) on 19th January 2020. Close to 3 lakh candidates attempted the exam and are now they are looking for the result. The official answer key has also been released already by the Punjab Education Board and it is important for the candidates to calculate their scores, no one knows whether they cleared the exam because everything depends on the merit list and/or the cut-off score. It is expected that the result will be released in the month of February/March 2020. Punjab TET Results 2020 Details
The exam for the selection is written exam for which was conducted on 19th January 2020, had 2 papers. Paper 1 was for class I to V teachers and paper 2 was for class VI to VIII teachers. Each paper had a total of 150 questions for a duration of 90 minutes, with each question carrying 1 mark. Both papers has the subjects like Child development and pedagogy, Language I, Language II and Mathematics, while an extra subject of Social Studies/science was also there in Paper II. Qualified candidates will proceed to the next round which is interview round.
PSTET 2002 Exam Cut-off Marks
The minimum expected pass percentage for General category students will be 60% of the total marks, while it is 55% for OBC/ST/SC category candidates. Candidate should get the mentioned percent in order get qualified in the exam, but the merit list/ cut-off score ultimately decides who qualifies for the second round of interview. The cut-off score is decided based on factors like the number of students who attempted the exam, the number of vacancies available, previous years’ cut-off scores, etc… The Certificate which is obtained through PSTET will be eligible or considered valid for 7 years from the date of exam result.

- Log on to the official PSTET portal at pstet.net.
- Under the notifications tab given at the left-hand side, look for a link that says something along the lines of “PSTET 2020 Exam Merit List” and click on it.
- This will take you to the page that contains the official merit list.
- You can make a quick search and see if your name is enlisted by hitting Ctrl+F and typing in your name or roll number/registration number in the search box.
- Download the merit list for future reference.
Download the merit list for the Paper that you attempted, as the list will be different for Paper 1 and Paper 2. If your name or roll number is not present on the merit list, then it means you have not qualified for the next round and will have to apply for the exam again the next time when PSTET notification is out.
