Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur is going to conduct the semester exams for the students and it was decided after the meeting conducted by the IIT authorities. Hence the institute will conduct the online exams for the students and these are scheduled from September 1 onwards of the session 2019 – 20. In the particular meeting, it has also been decided by the senate that the evaluation base in the exam will be term-paper, quizzes, home assignments, term paper projects, etc., and these can be completed from the home of the student. Thus online examination can also be taken from any remote location by the students. Further, the senate also decided not to give the weightage of more than 20% to the students in the final online examinations amid the current COVID 19 pandemic in the country.

These IIT exams will remotely be managed by the Jodhpur IIT while the AI will also be made in the use and major assistance will also be taken by the experienced software companies that have a great experience of conducting the exams of National Testing Agency as well as IIT Joint Entrance Exams. Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur also conducting the revisional classes for the students from June 22, 2020, and conducted up to June 30, 2020.

Students who are studying in the laboratory course will have to appear in the viva-voce for the assessment of the last semester and these will be started from July 1 – July 10, 2020. The timing of conducting the online viva voce will be in the regular lab slot. There are some provisions for those students who are facing difficulty while appearing in the examinations. Hence such students will be able to appear in the exam physically when the situation due to the Coronavirus outbreak will improve where you will have to select the I that mentions Incomplete Grade. However, as per the indication by the IIT Jodhpur senate, physically these exams will be conducted before December 2020 tentatively.
